BAYAN LEPAS: Army officers and personnel fulfilled their responsibilities by casting early votes for the 14th General Election (GE14) at Dewan Congo, Kem Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja (2 RAMD) Sungai Ara here today.

They were seen lining up as early as 7am for registration. Division Two General Major General Datuk Mohd Ramli Jaafar was the first to cast his vote at 8am.

By 4pm, more than 1,000 personnel together with their spouses had cast their votes.

A total of 2,117 army officers and personnel are expected to ote.

Deputy police chief Datuk Roslee Chik said the officers and personnel were in high spirits as they fulfilled their responsibilities as voters.
