JOHOR BARU: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang is expected to defend his Iskandar Puteri (formerly known as Gelang Patah) parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election.
Previously, there were rumours that Kit Siang had a keen interest in contesting in Johor Baru.
However, PKR has support in the state capital and Johor Baru PKR chief Akmal Nasir has already started compaigning for the parliamentary seat.
Kit Siang will probably be up against Iskandar Puteri MCA chief Datuk Jason Teoh, who has been involved in politics for 23 years.
An Iskandar Puteri native, he has great influence in the Chinese community.
Johor DAP publicity secretary Wong Shu Qi said Kit Siang was most likely to contest in Iskandar Puteri but anything could happen before nomination day.
