IMAGINE your front yard with plants and trees of various species that you do not have to personally maintain.

Fields of Gold (Senja Villa) in Rawang, Selangor, offers its residents living spaces with five zones — Spring Blossoms, Autumnal Grace, White Winters, Summer Sways and Rustic Pines — through out the year.

The one-of-a-kind project boasts 53 designer boutique villas that surround 0.6ha of splendidly landscaped and themed private park. It is the only gated-and-guarded property in the country which provides its owners direct access to a common garden when they step out of their front yard.

The project, by Primarc Development Sdn Bhd, is unlike other developments in the country where they typically face a road.

“At Fields of Gold, our residents can have peace of mind... they won’t have to worry about the dangers of the road when their kids step out of the front yard. Instead, every family will see a beautiful outdoor space that is colourful and safe,” Primarc managing director Primus Lim told NST Property.

Lim said he drew inspirations from four-season climates in countries he had visited overseas and emulated the natural occurrence in the landscape of Fields of Gold.

“For Spring we have the Cratoxylum Formosum (locally known as Mempat) trees which have light pink flowers that pretty much look like the cherry blossoms. For Winter, the tree associated with the season is Euginia spicata, that bears white berries attracting various species of birds.

“At the Autumn zone the Eucalyptus tree with its peeling bark will be the highlight while at the summer zone, there are Australian Salix and Willow Trees near the pond,” Lim said.

Apart from the significant trees that mark each zone, there are other flowering plants like the Pentas Lanceolata Carnea, Tecomaria capensis, Evolvulus species, Pentas Lanceolata Light Purple, Aster, Plumbago, Janda Kaya, Ixora and Senduduk, planted all around the park.

“On top of that, we also have a lot of herbs like basil, lemongrass, rosemary, thyme and cat whiskers, planted along the pavements and they can be plucked and used by the residents,” he said.

Lim said at Senja Villa, residents are encouraged to spend their time outdoors and enjoy the facilities, such as the sunken BBQ pits and stone oven, teppanyaki stations, bubbling streams and eco ponds, within the park.

“We also want to attract butterflies, dragonflies birds to inhibit our park... so, we are installing feeders and nests for these wildlife to create an environment that really embraces the nature,” he added.
