KUALA LUMPUR: Member of Parliament Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, 32, offered words of encouragement to singer Bella Astillah, 30, after she recently faced challenges in her marriage.
Syed Saddiq expressed hopes that Bella, whose full name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, would find peace in an Instagram post after Bella visited his house for the Hari Raya celebrations.
"Stay strong, Bella. Patience will bring peace. Thank you for coming to celebrate with our family," he said.
Their post has garnered much attention from netizens, with some suggesting that they would make a compatible couple.
User eatyourpiza said she supports Syed Saddiq and Bella's decision should they opt to be a couple.
"I support 'SyedBella'," she said.
Meanwhile, user eyka_icha said she gave her 'blessing' should both of them be a couple.
"I, representing Malaysian netizens, unanimously give my blessings to this relationship," she said.
Another user, myyatch.igr, said Bella's husband, Aliff Aziz, who made headlines over the years for cheating on Bella, lost a 'gem'.
"Aliff Aziz lost such a gem. Bella is beautiful and deserves someone better," she said.
On April 4, Aliff and Bella were ordered to undergo the Conciliatory Committee (JKP) process at the Federal Territories Syariah Court here on June 4, after the Singapore-born actor did not agree to the divorce petition filed by his wife because he still loves his family.
Aliff said that he needed time to think. Bella filed for a fast-track divorce on March 13.
This comes after Aliff and his co-star in a drama series, Ruhainies, were nabbed for 'khalwat' at a condominium by the Federal Territories Religious Department (Jawi).
Bella and Aliff tied the knot on Sept 9, 2016, but divorced on May 16, 2019. They then reconciled during the edah period.
The couple are blessed with two children, namely Mohamad Ayden Adrean, 7, and Ara Adreanna, 4.
