KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian businessman Sunny Seow is being hailed online for his recent act of generosity towards two of his Malay employees, whom he rewarded with two months' bonuses and a week-long Raya holiday.

In a viral Facebook post, Sunny said he has been working alongside the two employees for a remarkable 12 years.

He said that providing the Raya bonuses well in advance enables his employees to prepare for the upcoming festive season with ease.

He also recounted how, when they first joined his company, they were earning a modest monthly salary of RM900. Today, their earnings have risen to RM5,000 per month.

In the same post, Sunny shared heartwarming anecdotes about the positive transformations he has witnessed in the lives of the two employees.

"They began working for me at the age of 16. Over the years, I've been able to help them purchase a house and a car.

"One of them is now married with two children. I take pride in having played a role in lifting a family out of poverty," he wrote.

Running a Tau Foo Fa business, Sunny said he had previously extended Chinese New Year bonuses to his Chinese employees.

"I thank them for their loyalty throughout these 12 years. They don't make that much, but they're still surviving. Good luck!"

Many netizens were deeply touched by the compassionate gesture of a boss who prioritises the welfare of his employees.

"Those who know how to be grateful are lucky. Boss and staff are blessed with each other," wrote @Siew Mei Siew Mei.

"Take care of the employees and they will take care of the business. Many bosses only care about themselves," said Ah Wei.
