KUALA LUMPUR: A comedian ended up becoming the butt of jokes on social media after he dropped off his son at the wrong school yesterday.

The incident came to light after comedian, Shahrol Azizie Azmi, better known as Shahrol Shiro, posted a video about his blunder on social media.

"My son had already entered the classroom, but he was confused when he noticed that the school field was different," he said in the video.

"He immediately approached the teacher and said, 'Teacher, I think I'm in the wrong school.'

"The teacher then checked his nametag and said, 'Oh, you're right, you are not from this school."

Shahrol said the teacher then called him about his mistake.

He said when the school called, he feared something bad happened to his son.

When he went back to pick up his son, the teacher jokingly reprimanded him.

"You don't know your son's school? Are you drunk? Luckily your son is smart," she said.

Many social media users found Shahrol's video entertaining and held praise for his son.

"His son is clever. Alhamdulillah, he realised quickly (that he was in the wrong school)," said user @Cahaya Hayati.

"He's (son) not crying, he can even laugh at the situation. Hahaha," commented @Wafa Aiskrim.
