KUALA LUMPUR: A policeman has received praise from netizens for saving a baby monkey that was 'stuck' on the divider of the MRR2 recently.

In a Facebook post shared by Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police), 'Abang Polis'Sergeant Hairil Abd Gapol from the Ampang District Police picked up the baby monkey and brought it to safety.

Also seen giving a helping hand to him was a man wearing a red shirt.

"Not only care for the safety of the public, Sergeant Hairil Abd Gapol also helped rescue a scared baby monkey that was stuck on the divider of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), in front of the Petron Pandan Perdana Ampang recently (Monday, Feb 12).

"Do good to God's creatures and one shall be rewarded," read the post, accompanied by a 29-second video.



The original Facebook post was by Friends of Trafik Ampang, an official page of the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department of the Ampang Jaya Police District Headquarters.

The comment sections saw netizens praising Hairil for his kindness.
