KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will call up Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, for its proceedings on the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT).
PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said also to be called are former LTAT chairman General (Rtd) Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, former chief executive Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman and former senior director of strategy Dayana Rogayah Omar.
She said all of them would be called when PAC proceedings into the LTAT resume on Aug 7.
The first PAC proceeding on LTAT was held on June 20.
The 2022 Auditor-General's Report had flagged LTAT for recording a negative balance in its reserve since 2020, at RM0.376 billion in 2020 and RM0.285 billion the following year.
In 2022, the figure was RM0.338 billion.
The report also flagged LTAT's decision to pay dividends derived from non-cash profits to contributors.
The findings in the Auditor-General's Report report come amid turmoil in LTAT following the resignations of three senior executives in less than a month.
On Jan 31, LTAT in a statement announced the departure of Nazim, followed by Raja Affandi on Feb 8, who later clarified that he had resigned and not retired from the post.
On Feb 19, Dayana Rogayah tendered her resignation.
Last year, Khaled reportedly put LTAT's restructuring plan on hold pending a review.
The plan was reportedly drawn up to ensure LTAT has a more diverse portfolio and can pay higher dividends on a more sustainable basis by 2025.
