KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat was briefly unsettled as Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook appeared to struggle to breathe during his ministry's question time.

Loke was scheduled to answer a question from Wong Chen (PH-Subang) regarding regulations to allow drivers with disabilities holding an A/A1 licence to work as e-hailing drivers.

However, upon standing to answer the question, he seemed out of breath and needed some time to compose himself.

Loke was also seen patting his chest several times, before signalling his deputy, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, who was also in the House, to proceed with the session.

Upon taking over the session, Habibollah told Loke to sit down and calm down.

"YB (Loke), calm yourself down, and I will answer this first," he said.

Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa (BN-Tampin) also requested that Loke have a health checkup at the hospital.

"YB (Loke), calm down first. You need to get yourself checked; it's dangerous (for your health)."

Loke then continued to answer supplementary questions posed by other members of parliament.
