KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Malaysia after falling ill while on a working visit in Azerbaijan.
He arrived at 1am today and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
In a statement today, he thanked all parties in Malaysia and Azerbaijan who helped with his treatment in Azerbaijan, as well as those who sent him prayers for his recovery.
Mutang was in Azerbaijan for a working visit where he led the Malaysian delegation to attend the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue" which took place on May 1- 3 in Baku.
Before attending the forum, Mutang also visited the President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova.
