The Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (Kada) officer, who was arrested by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) last night for allegedly filing false claims, has been remanded for six days beginning today.

KOTA BARU: The Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (Kada) officer, who was arrested by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) last night for allegedly filing false claims, has been remanded for six days beginning today.

The remand order against the man was obtained at Kota Baru court this morning.

This was confirmed by the state MACC director Rosli Husain.

He said the remand order ended on May 6.

It was reported today that the man was arrested when he was summoned to Kelantan MACC headquarters to have his statement recorded about 9.30pm.

According to sources,the false claims, made last year and this year, were related to various Kada programmes.

The case was being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2019 for providing documents such as receipts or invoices that are false or contain false details with the intention to deceive the principle (office).
