PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim criticised certain political leaders for resorting to complaints and condemnation instead of engaging in constructive dialogue.

The Prime Minister said this during a speech at the Maju Institute of Educational Development cheque presentation ceremony held here today.

Anwar said that this approach by a handful of politicians does not serve the interests of the people. He highlighted the trend of some leaders using social media to criticise without showing willingness to negotiate or collaborate.

"There are those who choose to cooperate and those who only criticise, claiming that everything is not right., In the end, it is the people who suffer," Anwar remarked.

Anwar commended leaders from the Indian community, whether from PKR, DAP, or MIC, for opting to negotiate to enhance the welfare of all ethnicities.

"I invite the Indian community... you must make a choice, and I salute those who have chosen to contribute to building the country and working together as a team."

Anwar assured that upon assuming the role of Prime Minister, he committed to serving all races and being a leader for all Malaysians.

"Can we resolve all problems? No. Can we satisfy everyone's demands? No. But we time to resolve most problems. We have been here (in government) for less than one and a half years, and we cannot be expected to resolve decades-old problems in a day or a year," he added."We are doing our best." he added.
