PALOH: Efforts to advance rural areas in the Semop constituency are in full swing, with key developments earmarked for Paloh, Kedang, and Berangan, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

Deputy Minister Datuk Abdullah Saidol has outlined the swift implementation of various projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), including road improvements and community hall constructions, backed by significant financial investments.

In Kampung Paloh, a first phase road upgrade is pending a RM570,000 approval from EPU Sarawak. Kampung Kedang will see a new community hall and jetty, alongside road access enhancements. A RM400,000 road upgrade is set to link Kampung Berangan's Community Hall to its jetty.

Tanjong Manis member of Parliament (MP) Yusuf Abd Wahab said that the Paloh-Tanjung Manis Road project will catalyse further advancements, including a commercial wharf and new fisherman's jetty, cumulatively valued at RM47 million.
