KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC) contributed to 90 asnaf (eligible recipients) during a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Asia School of Business here today.
The contribution was personally handed over to each of the asnaf groups by MyCC chairman, Datuk Seri Mohd Hishamudin Yunus, and The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Minister, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
The 90 asnaf consist of children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Tun Hussein Onn, Sekolah Kebangsaan Desa Pandan, Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Midah 1, and Rumah Kebajikan & Anak Yatim Darul Najjah.
MyCC chief executive officer, Iskandar Ismail, said the contribution was provided based on the needs of the asnaf groups and is carried out annually.
"Our budget is based on the corporate social responsibility (CSR) allocation.
"At the end of the year, we will reassess it to review all the costs that have been incurred," he added.
