KUALA LUMPUR: The national-level Madani Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration will be held at Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday.
It will be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The Madani Aidilfitri celebration secretariat said in a statement today that the event, hosted by the Sabah government and led by the National Unity Ministry, would be held from 10.30am to 3pm.
"The prime minister will attend Madani Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations in Johor on April 18, Sabah on April 20, Melaka on April 22, Kedah on May 4, Penang on May 5, and Terengganu on May 9."
The main purpose of the events is to foster goodwill and unity in the community, and allow leaders to meet and socialise with the people, the secretariat said.
The celebration in Johor, hosted by the state government and Defence Ministry, will be held at Padang Begonia at Angsana Johor Baru Mall from 4pm to 7pm.
