LIPIS: A security guard and his girlfriend who died in an accident on the first day of Hari Raya had plans to get married.
Mazuan Mat Zin, 44, and Kisnawita Saad, 46, were killed when the former's motorcycle crashed into a concrete divider along the Central Spine Road.
They were travelling from his hometown in Kuala Krai, Kelantan to Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
"Mazuan already told us (his family) that he had a girlfriend and wanted to marry her," his sister Marliana Mat Zin said.
"He was so happy to return with his girlfriend to introduce her to us this Hari Raya."
She said Mazuan was so eager to introduce Kisnawita to his family that he was willing to ride his motorcycle from Selangor to Kelantan.
Marliana said Kisnawita's family was aware of their relationship and allowed her to travel to Kelantan to meet their family.
"But while he was at home, he was a bit quiet," she said, adding Mazuan was a bit unhappy that he had to return to Selangor on the first day of Hari Raya because of work.
