KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to attend the national-level Aidilfitri celebration here on April 20.
National Unity ministry secretary-general Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof said the celebration would be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre and 20,000 people were expected to attend.
"The celebration will start at 10am and is expected to end at 3pm.
"The governor of Sabah, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, will be present, as well as the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor," he said in a statement after a courtesy visit to Juhar at Menara Kinabalu here.
Azman added that more than 50 dishes were expected to be served that day.
He also said that there would also be a small exhibition called 'Our Home,' to showcase Malaysian culture.
