KOTA BARU: Felcra settlers throughout the country have another reason to cheer this coming Hari Raya when they received a RM74 million dividend payment.
Felcra Berhad chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said the payments will be distributed to more than 70,000 settlers beginning this week.
"This coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri will be a windfall for Felcra settlers in the country as they received a dividend payment totalling about RM74 million.
"The payments were transferred via online and it is from the last divident payment of last year (2023)," he told reporters after breaking of fast here tonight.
The former Machang MP said Felca made the dividend payments to settlers three times a year.
"The amount of dividends will depend on the world price of raw palm oil.
"Pahang, Johor and Sarawak are the states with settlers receiving the highest dividend payments.
"Kelantan is the state with smallest payments to settlers," he added.
