KUALA LUMPUR: Honouring their respective mother's birth and death year proved to be the best decision two Magnum 4D winners made.
The driver from Ipoh and housewife from Rawang each walked away with a RM4 million Jackpot on March 17.
What was more interesting is that the duo won for the same exact winning numbers of 1933 and 2023.
One of the winners said he would put the money to good use to honour his mother's memory.
"The Magnum jingle will forever be my favourite song to hear now as it was that notification from the MyMagnum 4D app that announced my win.
"I will also do my best to wisely spend my newfound win to honour my mother's memory," said the lucky winner from Ipoh.
The housewife, on the other hand, said the win proved that her mother's love was still apparent even after her passing.
"Once again, my mother is showing her love to take care of the family, even from heaven.
"I am so grateful for this win and that my life is now forever changed for the better," she said.
The duo were among four winners who won a total of RM22 million in Jackpot prizes in the past two months.
Meanwhile, a housewife clinched the RM8.5 million Jackpot on Feb 25 thanks to a number from an old receipt.
"I find number inspirations everywhere – from my car number to old receipts tucked away in my notebook.
"This time, it was a seven-year-old receipt that led me to these winning numbers."
She found out about her win when she checked the Magnum 4D website before going to bed.
"I couldn't believe my eyes, seeing my winning numbers on the screen."
A retiree from Melaka, on the other hand, struck gold during the Chinese New Year with a RM5.4 million Jackpot win.
His winning numbers, 7878 and 1318, were purchased at the Taman Sri Mangga outlet in Malacca on Feb 11.
A devoted Magnum 4D player, he played the same five sets of numbers with System Bet-5 play in the past six to seven years.
He used significant numbers associated with family and friends.
The winning 1318 number was his child's vehicle number, while 7878 holds a special meaning from a random conversation he had with a friend.
"I also prefer to go to the Taman Sri Mangga 4D outlet as it has also proven to be very lucky,
celebrating a few past Jackpot winners."
It was an auspicious win as he found out about it while having the reunion dinner with his family.
A Magnum 4D representative said the company shared the winners' happiness as they step into an exciting new chapter in their lives.
