KUALA LUMPUR: All state police chiefs are currently on high alert and will closely monitor various premises and issues pertaining to the 3R (race, religion, and royalty).

Federal Police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said a directive on this had been issued by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

"Not only KK Mart. I think if they want to (do anything), it is not necessary that they will only target KK Mart.

"Obviously, the directive has been issued by the IGP to all state police chiefs to give special attention to premises and issues related to racial matters.

"All state police chiefs are putting this on very high alert," he said in a press conference.

Yesterday, a KK Mart branch in Perak was targeted with what is believed to be a Molotov cocktail.

Mohd Shuhaily said so far, police had received 10 reports in relation to the KK Mart stockings controversy from March 14 until yesterday.
