Sarawak's Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah unveiled plans for WAK 2024, saying it would foster the creative community and promote Kuching as a dynamic hub for arts and lifestyle.

The festival aims to bridge connections within the creative sectors and beyond, encouraging participation from both government and private entities.

Information about the festival and its lineup will be available on the event's official website from March 18 to June 14.

Abdul Karim assured full support from his ministry to bolster WAK 2024.

Further expanding its reach, WAK 2024 will also introduce 'WAK Mini Satellites' events in Sibu and Miri in June and August, extending the cultural experience beyond Kuching to other parts of Sarawak.

Deputy Ministers Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew and Datuk Snowdan Lawan, who were present at the announcement, echoed the sentiment that WAK 2024 is a pivotal event for showcasing the rich artistic and cultural tapestry of Sarawak, offering a unique and immersive experience for locals and tourists alike.
