KUCHING: The wife of Constable Iskandar Ibrahim, a victim of a boat sinking incident in Sungai Batang Baleh, Kapit, surrendered to the will of God as the week-long search yesterday failed to locate her husband.

In a Facebook post today (March 14), however, Anis Nur Ezzati appealed for prayers from the public to find her husband no matter the circumstances.

Today (March 14), the search for the 28-year-old police officer from Kelantan entered its eighth day with various methods carried out, including through deployment of the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department K9 Unit.

"The search for my husband continues for the eighth day today. For your information, we have done all that we could with the help of those around us.

"But Allah's will is beyond anyone's prediction, and the search for my husband still hasn't reached a conclusion. As his wife, I accept and resign to whatever fate holds," she said.

Anis also appealed to the public to continue praying for a successful search.

"I implore your kindness, please never stop praying for him.

"Pray that Allah returns him to us, no matter his condition," she said.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said that the search today resumed from the last known location of the victim near SK Lepong Baleh to Kapit.
