KUCHING: The body of another victim of a boat capsize in Sungai Batang Baleh, Kapit, last Thursday, has been found.
The body of Amerson John Nain was found in Sungai Batang Lebaan, Sibu, on Saturday.
A Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the victim's identity was verified by family members at Kapit Hospital at noon today.
Constable Iskandar Ibrahim said the department was looking for other victims.
Two bodies found yesterday were confirmed to be that of Jack Balan, found by police at Pulau Kerto, Sibu.
The body of Sergeant Jonathan Lambet was found by firefighters about 4pm 5km from the location in Sungai Batang Baleh.
In the incident around 5pm last Thursday, a boat carrying five people capsized in Sungai Batang Baleh, near the jetty of SK Kebangsaan Lepong Baleh.
One person was rescued, while four others were swept away by strong currents.
The police officers were en route from Kuching to Nanga Tulie, Kapit, escorting a 35kg explosive material.
