KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will only summon three former top leaders of the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) after Aidilfitri due to prior commitments.

Its chairman, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin, said the process would proceed as planned.

"We will summon LTAT representatives after Aidilfitri because the PAC schedule is quite packed with reports to be presented, proceedings, and meetings.

"We have decided on these commitments earlier, and we also appreciate the PAC team's high commitment," she said when contacted today.

Mas Ermieyati added that the PAC had its way of conducting the proceedings of meetings where reports would be presented in Parliament later.

She said they did not want this matter to affect the actions discussed by PAC earlier.

She said this when asked whether PAC would expedite the process of summoning LTAT representatives to provide explanations regarding the negative financial reserves disclosure of the agency as reported in the 2022 Auditor General's Report previously.

This follows the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's directive for LTAT and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) to submit a full report on their performances in the 2022 LKAN.

"We do not want to interfere with the decisions made by the Prime Minister because it is part of his and the cabinet's executive duties."

When asked whether the PAC would also investigate Felda, Mas Ermieyati, however, said that for now, only LTAT was involved.

"In June or July, when the Auditor General report is presented again, the PAC's task continues, and we must make decisions and select who to summon, and this is done by consensus among all committee members."
