PETALING JAYA: An autistic child was found drowned in a lake in Taman Medan, here, today.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar @ Ismail said the body of the boy was found floating in the lake by anglers about 7pm.
"It is understood that before the boy's body was found, his father had lodged a report at the Sea Park police station. The missing persons report was lodged about 4pm.
"The body of the child was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre Forensics Medicine Department for post-mortem examination," he said.
The boy's mother had, also about 4pm, posted a message on her Facebook account asking for help in locating her son, whom she said had gone missing in the Taman Aman area.
