KUALA LUMPUR: The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) today submitted a notification to the police about its procession to Parliament tomorrow.

Bersih, in a post on Facebook, said it had sent the notice to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters.

"Bersih has submitted a notice to the Dang Wangi district police regarding the #Reformasi100Peratus demand procession at Parliament tomorrow."

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said that according to the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) 2012, notices must be submitted at least five days before the gathering date.

Yesterday, it was reported that police had not received any notification on the assembly.

Allaudeen said: "An assembly without an assembly notification is an offence under Section 9 (5) of the PAA 2012."
