Johari said 30 countries, which represent 75 per cent of the world's agro-commodity trade will send its representatives to attend the FACT Dialogue to discuss the best practices, challenges and realistic and practical actions to be taken on the related topics.

"The FACT Dialogue is among the government-to-government (G2G) dialogues to discuss about deforestation, tackle climate change and biodiversity towards sustainbable land use.

"Through this FACT Dialogue, which I have been invited to be a co-chairman, we will discuss several issues related to a few major fields, among them are related to cthe country's commodities export in terms of trade and market development.

"Besides that, (the dialogue will also involve) support for smallholders, effectiveness, transparency, development research, research and development and innovation in commodity," he said on X.

The FACT Dialogue and its direction were launched in the 26th United Nations General Assembly.

It is part of the announcements made during UN's Climate Change Conference Related to Forestry and Sustainability, including the Glasgow Declaration on Forestry and Land Usage.

The FACT Dialogue is currently chaired by the United Kingdom and Indonesia, and it is aimed at rallying its participating nations to protect forests and ecosystems, besides encouraging trade and sustainable development while tackling climate change and biological diversity.
