KOTA KINABALU: The fee for the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) at SMK Bandaraya here is only RM40.
Sabah Education director Datuk Raisin Saidin is responding to a viral letter about the registration fee for Form 1 students of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The letter has indicated that parents have to prepare RM350 for PTA contribution and cooperative fee.
"The contribution to PTA is RM40. The amount of contribution is decided during the PTA annual general meeting.
"The remaining amount is to buy stationery at the cooperative for students.
"But it also depends on students' choices whether they want to buy or not.
