KUALA LUMPUR: The action of some people who park their vehicles by the roadside between Genting Sempah and Janda Baik in order to collect spring water from the hillside is posing danger to other road users.

An avid motorcyclist who frequently plies the road, who wants to be known as ER, said it was normal for him to see cars being parked hazhazardly there.

"These people would stop to collect the spring water. However, their action could expose others to danger," said ER.

He said this is because it was a narrow, single lane road.

"If a car is parked at the side of the road, it would be difficult for other vehicles to pass.

"Moreover, the road is winding, so some drivers may not be able to react quickly to avoid the parked cars," he said.

He also provided a brief footage of a man who had parked his car to collect the spring water, while a few cars were heading towards his vehicle from the opposite direction.

"I hope the authorities will close the site where the people collect the spring water. This should stop to prevent any untoward incident."
