JERTEH: A loving mother's emotional plea of wanting to have a family gathering of all nine of her children together was granted as seen through a video shared online.

The video showed Wan Sepiah Wan Ibrahim, 86, feeding slices of cake to all nine of her children in what was a moving and touching moment that struck a chord with many netizens.

The video was shot on Jan 19 and shared by Wan Sepiah's third child, Azmi Mat Aroff, 52, on TikTok.

Azmi said that the video was made from a compilation of video clips taken by other family members before it was shared on social media.

According to Azmi, at the time, he and the rest of his eight siblings had gathered to fulfil their mother's wish of seeing and spending time with all nine of her children so that she could also engage and catch up with them together as she missed all of them.

"Alhamdulillah, our dear mother has been fine, good and well. It's just that she has had some aches and pains here and there such as her knees, and she is diabetic.

"Though, of late, she seems like she has not been that well and this has made us come back to see her more often each and every month.

"Our mother lives alone but one of my younger siblings lives right next door.

"But she is never quite alone as there are always family members who keep her company, either one of my siblings or the grandchildren," he said while sharing that she lives in Besut, here.

Azmi said that of late, his mother had voiced her intention to see all her children come together and he worked hard to make it happen as he asked all his siblings to go back and fulfil their mother's wish.

"Before this she called me and asked me to come back, and she told me to inform the rest of my siblings as well, including those who live in Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan and in Kelantan to go back as well.

"After Friday prayers we gathered at one of our sibling's houses and after we finished enjoying a meal together, we began to hug our mother and then she began to engage with us and advised us to always maintain good relations with one another and to look out for each other.

"Coincidentally there was cake and she fed it to all her children in order of eldest to youngest. The sad or rather emotional moment was when she asked for forgiveness and gave her blessings to all of us," said Azmi who lives in Taman Pelindung Perdana in Kuantan, Pahang.

The government pensioner said that that moment will be a very fond memory for their entire family, and he is relieved and grateful for his octogenarian mother's quest to have all 45 grandchildren and great grandchildren to come together with all the children as a blessing indeed.

"We hugged, we embraced one another and our mother also hugged the in-laws and grandchildren. That day was special as all of us, all nine siblings managed to meet up because before this we could never get everyone under one roof.

"The atmosphere was a first for our family, but this time around, it made our mother very happy.

"In fact her facial expressions showed just how happy she was to see her nine children before her very eyes," he said, adding that there was a sister who had died earlier on, leaving nine siblings behind.
