TAIPING: IN celebration of Taiping's 150th anniversary, the Bukit Larut management is organising several hiking sessions under the umbrella "Hiking @ Bukit Larut 2024."
Taiping City Council, on its Facebook page yesterday, said these hikes will be a unique way to commemorate the town's rich heritage dating back to 1874.
"The event is open to only 150 hikers, who will be grouped into 10 teams, each consisting of 15 members.
"The hiking sessions are scheduled to begin in March and will continue throughout the year until December.
"This limited participation ensures an exclusive and intimate hiking experience for all attendees," it said.
Registration for "Hiking @ Bukit Larut 2024" starts on Jan 15, and will remain open until Feb 15, 2024, or until the cap of 150 participants is reached.
The event fee is set at RM100, which covers the cost of a t-shirt, bag, hat, certificate, and meals.
