SEGAMAT: A man died after being stung by wasps while riding off-road near Felda Tenang, Hutan Simpan Jalan Temayong, Labis, Segamat yesterday.
Labis fire and rescue station chief Muhammad Hafifie Md Sarif said the fire department received a call about the incident at 2.24pm yesterday.
"Upon arrival at the scene, we found a victim lying down, believed to have been stung by wasps. The victim was attacked by these wasps while engaged in motorcycle activities around the forest reserve.
"The victim, Halmi Tahrin, 42, was confirmed dead at the scene by a medical officer at the Labis Health Clinic.
"The fire department successfully removed the victim from the reported ground hornet attack location," he said in a statement today.
Hafifie said the victim was handed over to the police for further action.
