KUALA LUMPUR: A leading Bumiputera integrated strategic communications agency, bzBee Consult Sdn Bhd recently bagged the Global Communication Campaign award at the 2023 Davos Communications Awards.
Organised by the World Communications Forum Association (WCFA), the awards are held annually to recognise leading communications agencies and its professionals for their outstanding projects with measurable business outcomes.
This year, WCFA received almost 100 entries for more than 30 different categories, with bzBee Consult being the only Malaysian communications agency nominated for the Global Communication Campaign award.
The award is presented to a campaign led from a country and implemented in markets around the world.
The Davos Communications Awards included an international comprising leading communication experts, who reviewed the public relations professionals, agencies, and in-house teams across 20 countries.
The agency's managing director Prof Mohd Said Bani C.M. Din, who was humbled by the recognition, said that Malaysian agencies were on par and have often outperformed many multinational agencies.
"I am very proud of the bzBee team, more so the fact that Malaysian public relations and communications agencies are beginning to be recognised at the international level.
"This recognition is testament to the hard work and dedication of bzBee team in
showcasing the story of the 2023 Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF2023) as more than just music festival - as a globally acclaimed event with a meaningful cause and commitment to sustainability," he said in a statement.
The winning campaign, 'Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival: A Compelling Comeback Story of Sustainability' focused on the STB's initiatives and effort to revive the iconic RWMF brand after a three year hiatus.
Earlier this month, bzBee Consult bagged four awards at the Malaysia Public Relations Award (MPRA) 2023 as well as the coveted Campaign of the Year award for the same project.
Earlier this year, Said was also awarded the 'Asia-Pacific Best Public Relations Leader' 2022 from WCFA.
