KOTA BARU: The Golok river in Rantau Panjang has breached its danger level this morning following heavy rain since yesterday.

As of 8am, the river's level was at 9.40m which is 1.40m above its danger mark.

The other main rivers in Kelantan, however, were below their alert marks.

The second day of floods saw 1,201 people being evacuated this morning.

The 1,201 people are from 336 families, and they are now taking shelter at 18 flood relief centres.

The flood's second wave have hit the two districts of Kuala Krai and Tanah Merah since yesterday.

The first wave hit the state for more than two weeks from Nov 19 and claimed four victims.
