KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 226 businesses offered a wide array homegrown products during the first day of the Madani Mega Sale at the Madani Government First Anniversary programme.

The participating entrepreneurs and promoters expressed their enthusiasm for being able to sell their products to a huge number of customers.

There was up to 30 per cent discounts on goods sold at the Madani Mega Sale.

Hafizah Namli, 31, who operated the Wanys Snacks booth said apart from offering attractive bargains, customers stood a chance to win a wide variety of goodies with their purchases.

"Our Nachos start at RM10 per pack, but if customers buy four they stand a chance to win a free supply of peanut snacks for a year."

She said each purchase comes with attractive gifts, discount vouchers and a complimentary non-woven bag.

Hafizah praised the programme for opening doors for entrepreneurs to showcase their products ranging from food to clothing to much more.

Meanwhile, Nanie's Craft founder Nani Marlina Baharudin, 42, travelled from Kelantan to participate in sales programme with a goal of bringing more awareness on local artisanal craft.

"I sell Sarawakian bags from Sibu, which come in various designs and they make adorable door gifts.

"If someone wants to negotiate the price, I am open to bargaining. It's not a fixed price," she said.

The Madani Government First Anniversary Programme, which runs until Sunday, is aimed at disseminating and promoting the policies and new initiatives introduced by the unity government since it came to being in Nov 24 last year.
