KUALA SELANGOR: Four individuals, including a woman, were injured in a four-vehicle accident on Jalan Bukit Rotan here early this morning.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a call at 5.24am today.

He said a team of six members, along with equipment from the Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station, rushed to the scene.

"According to preliminary reports, the accident involved a tanker carrying palm oil, a Lexus RX270 sports utility vehicle (SUV), a Yamaha RXZ motorcycle, and a private ambulance.

"The incident occurred when the tanker truck driver and motorcycle rider parked on the roadside to assist the ambulance that had skidded off the road.

"There were two patients ferried in the ambulance, but they were not injured," he said in a statement today.

Ahmad Mukhlis said shortly after that, the Lexus SUV collided with the tanker truck and motorcycle, causing an 80 per cent blaze.

"Four victims, aged 33 to 56, suffered minor injuries, while three others, aged 23 to 45, were unharmed," he said.
