BENTONG: Four members of a family were found unconcious in a car, believed due to a lack of oxygen, which rammed into the Bentong toll plaza barrier today.
District police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the incident occurred about 2.40pm while the family was on the way back to Balakong from Tok Bali, Kelantan.
"When the vehicle slammed into the toll plaza barrier, policemen who were on patrol along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway during Op Selamat went to the family's aid, assisted by highway patrolmen, the public and the highway employees.
"The victims — a man, his wife and their two children — were carried out of the vehicle and given first aid treatment by medical officers," he said.
Zaiham said investigations were still on-going to determine the cause of the incident.
