KUALA LUMPUR: Commuters looking for a hassle-free and pocket-friendly way to commute to work in Petaling Jaya can now turn to Kumpool 2.0, the van e-hailing app.

Bukit Gasing assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran launched the carpool initiative recently aimed at easing commutes to work in Petaling Jaya.

"We have made the zone smaller to target those who are coming into Petaling Jaya to head to office," he said in a Facebook posting.

"Ride to and from any of these stops cost only RM1," he said, adding that the trips are available from Taman Jaya and Asia Jaya LRT stations.

Kumpool 2.0 include trips to and from Taman Jaya LRT station, Amcorp Mall, Petron Jalan Utara (Asia Jaya LRT station), Wisma TB Jalan Timur, 32 Square section 19, The Challenger Sports Center, Jaya One Mall, Crystal Crown PJ, Digital Mall, Public Bank PJ New Town, Wisma MCIS, Aeon Big Jaya One, Wisma Kemajuan, Mattress Factory Outlet, Hotel Lisa De Inn, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Dutch Lady Industries, Menara Symphony, Federal Academy of Ballet and VSQ PJ (near BAC Petaling Jaya).

Rajiv also said commuters in the zome have the option of using OoGyaa electric scooters for last-mile connectivity.

In February, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and Kumpool embarked on a pilot project that stretched around Wangsa Maju and Alam Megah, in Shah Alam in Selangor.
