ROMPIN: A father's love knows no bounds.

A man, presumably in his 50's, recently made headlines on TikTok as he searched for his daughter who was feared to have drowned near Muadzam Shah 17 days ago.

Known only as Zailan, the man refused to give up his search for Nur Hafizah, who was believed to have fallen off a suspension bridge in Kampung Aur, Bukit Ibam.

In one of the videos, Zailan can be seen walking about in the area, searching for clues to Nur Hafizah's disappearance despite appearing exhausted.

In another video, Zailan is seen staring into space as he waits faithfully by the suspension bridge where Nur Hafizah was last seen and suspected to have drowned.

The videos touched many netizens who expressed their sympathy and hope for Nur Hafizah to be safe and sound.

"I just can't bear to see a father looking for his child because of what has happened, I just hope and pray that he finds her very, very soon," wrote a TikTok user only known as Bella.

"I am Nur Hafizah but I am not this doting father's daughter, though I hope and pray that Nur Hafizah is found as soon as possible and is reunited once again with her dear father," wrote another TikTok user, Pyja Ahmad.

"This is love, this is a father's love, someone who will not rest nor stop until he has found his beloved daughter who is lost.

"Even if others have stopped looking, he will never stop," commented another TikTok user known as Mohd Faizal.

Earlier, Harian Metro had reported about Nur Hafizah, from Lorong Gangsa 2, Bukit Ibam, who was swept away by strong currents while crossing the suspension bridge.

Due to the floods, the fire and rescue services department together with Police, the Armed Forces and the Malaysian Civil Defense Force have moved to the scene and are conducting the search for the victim by land and water.
