REV Media Group (RMG)'s MyUndi served as a one-stop portal for Malaysians to keep up to date with GE15-related content.

The portal, introduced in 2018, provided 24-hour real-time accessibility to comprehensive news stories, videos, infographics and other election-related content.

MyUndi played a vital role in keeping first-time voters — nearly eight million of them — well informed.

In fact, MyUndi garnered over 50 million page views in the elections.

This large number is attributable to MyUndi's use of educational articles about the candidates and the parties.

On election night, all digital sites under RMG had a combined 10.4 million visitors, reaching about 50 per cent* of the Internet population in Malaysia.

These digital sites, such as the New Straits Times, Berita Harian, Harian Metro and Free Malaysia Today, saw tremendous growth compared with the previous election; the number of users increased by 85 per cent  and PVs rose by 316 per cent.

Google ranked MyUndi fifth in the Top Trending Searches in Malaysia for the year.

A new feature on MyUndi, Suara Kita, gave Malaysians the opportunity to voice their opinions about the soon-to-be-elected government before voting.

With these data points and mapping of its internal REV ID, an in-house proprietary solution to power first-party data collection, RMG optimised the content reach and conversion throughout the election.

The first-party data, combined with the traffic during GE15, allowed RMG to execute more targeted campaigns.

Through MyUndi, RMG aims to provide voters with a better experience  in the state elections in 2023. It also wants to provide a higher value to brands or clients maximising first-party data with REV ID.

*Total Malaysia Digital Population was 20.6M based on Comscore Internet Audience Data for Malaysia in September 2022.
