BATANG KALI: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah arrived here to visit the search and rescue (SAR) landslide operation centre today.

Tunku Azizah accompanied by her daughter Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafizatullah arrived at 4.13pm and were welcomed by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.

Also present was Fire and Rescue Department director-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Hamdan Wahid.

During her visit, she was briefed on the progress of SAR operation before she was escorted to another tent located next to the landslide area.

"Please be patient, they are doing their best," she said, before leaving the site at 5.30pm.

Rescuers are still looking for nine more victims at Father's Organic Farm, near Gohtong Jaya, which was struck by a landslide on Friday.

A total 61 victims have been rescued, while 24 others perished in the tragedy.
