Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Langkawi District officer, Ahmad Shahfikri Darus said the victims are still staying at Dewan Syifa flood relief centre (PPS) in Padang Matsirat, here.

"Works to clean their homes, which were affected by mud floods, are still ongoing,"

"The morning is cloudy, with rain expected in one or two areas. The weather is expected to be fairer in the afternoon but it might rain in a few areas in the evening," he said when contacted today.

All the victims are from Kampung Atas, Limbung Putra, Buluh Penyumpit, Bukit Kemboja, Bohor Masjid and Lubuk Setol.

Padang Matsirat sub-district remains the most affected area, with 50 evacuees from 14 families.
