KOTA BARU: Caretaker Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan denied that he has married a politician after rumours swirled over the alleged nuptial.
Dismissing the rumours, the Pas secretary-general said he had not taken a new wife in the past 15-years.
"These matters are private in nature. I would like to clear the air once and for all, and put a stop to the rumours.
"l would like to stress here that l did not marry any woman, including the one mentioned in the rumours, over the last 10 or 15 years.
"The last 10 years were during two terms of general-election and 15 years were within the three terms (general-election)," he said.
Rumours on Takiyuddin tying the knot with a woman politician from Selangor, who is a minister, has gone viral on social media platforms since early this year.
