KUALA LUMPUR: A bomb threat led to an emergency evacuation of the Integra Tower in Jalan Tun Razak here today.

It is learnt that police received a call around noon claiming that there was a bomb planted in the KWAP office in the building.

Wangsa Maju police chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah, who confirmed the threat, said the building was evacuated immediately and a search was carried out.

However, by 4.30pm, no bomb was found inside the office and a bomb squad remained on standby at the scene. The authorities were still cordoning off the building until they finished checking the premises and deemed it safe.

Details of the case are still sketchy as investigators continued to comb other parts of the 40-storey building.
