KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 4,053 candidates offered permanent positions as medical officers, dentists, and pharmacists by the Public Services Commission will report for duty from Oct 17.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said they could download their offer letter of appointment in the MySTP offer system on Aug 29.

"Aligning with the permanent staff offer, the Health Ministry will set up an e-placement system comprising of e-Housement, e-Dentist, and e-Pharmacist in the middle of September to enable the staff to select their placement online.

"The date for when this system is ready to be used will be sent to the officers one week in advance via email."


Khairy said contract officers who did not get permanent positions could continue their service.

"Those who are under compulsory service will be offered a contract reappointment for two more years after the end of the contract.

"They will have the opportunity to be reappointed to a four-year contract to pursue studies in a relevant expertise.

"Candidates who were not selected can re-apply for next year's permanent staff recruitment."
