KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) reported several accidents along the North-South Expressway during Chinese New Year's Eve today, but the routes remain under control.

It was reported earlier that an accident had occurred at KM389.9 South from Behrang to Tanjung Malim at 6.04am today but did not result in the closure of lanes.

MHA also reported that an accident had happened at KM130 North from Juru to Sungai Dua around 8.40am today.

Later at 10.54am, a tree fell at KM31 North near Kulai-Sedenak route at 10.54am today, causing the emergency lane to be blocked.

However, MHA through its Twitter page (@LLMinfotrafik), said the traffic on several routes was still smooth-sailing along the North-South Expressway in both directions throughout the morning.
