KUALA TERENGGANU: A four-hour traffic diversion will take place at East Coast Expressway (LPT2) from 9am to 1pm tomorrow.

In a statement, the highway concession company LPT2 Sdn Bhd said the highway at the Paka Toll Plaza would be diverted to facilitate an 'Emergency Safety exercise'.

The safety exercise is jointly organised with the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA), the traffic police, the Fire and Rescue Department, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and the Environment Department as well as the participation of the media.

"The highway users plying through the said route are advised to follow instructions given by LPT2 and the police during the exercise for a smooth and safe journey towards the east coast destinations.

"Latest updates on the traffic situation and information will also be posted on LPT2 Facebook and Twitter as well as the LPT2 website at www.lpt2.com.my," it said today.

LPT2 is a highway linking Jabor in Pahang and Gemuroh in Kuala Terengganu.
