MUAR: The Department of Agriculture (DOA) in Johor Baru sent food supplies to Tangkak, Muar and Segamat recently for the needy.
In Bukit Pasir near here, 50 single mothers received the contribution which was handed over by non-governmental agency Suri Prihatin Pagoh. Its chairman Janariah Abu Nawan and team were present.
"We are most grateful for this DOA contribution," said Janariah.
DOA deputy agriculture officer Ruzilah Yaacob said the supplies from small and medium industries were handed over to those who needed.
Her team comprised engineers, agriculture officers and accountants.
