KUALA LUMPUR: Starting today, Malaysians who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can travel to the United States of America.

In a video uploaded on YouTube by the US Embassy here, it explained that those who received vaccines authorised by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and World Health Organisation (WHO) will be allowed to enter the US.

This means recipients of all Covid-19 vaccines that are administered in the country, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, and Johnson and Johnson (J&J), can travel to the US.

Booster shots are also not listed as a requirement to enter the country.

"Fully vaccinated are those who completed their vaccination more than two weeks. Children under 18 are exempted".

Travellers must also provide proof that they are Covid-19 negative before travelling and must produce vaccination documents.

MySejahtera, Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cards, or official certificates of vaccination are acceptable.

People who have new passports can still travel but they would have to bring along their old passports which have a valid US Visa in it.

"Please visit the US Embassy website for more information," stated the video.
