KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia registers 7,420 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the country's tally to 2,377,033.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Tweet said additional information would be made available at the ministry's CovidNow portal.

"Daily data will be uploaded and updated after midnight at the CovidNow portal, covidnow.moh.gov.my," he said.

Yesterday, Malaysia's Covid-19 daily cases rose slightly with 8,084 new infections.

As of Oct 14, the national infectivity rate (Rt) stood at 0.88 while Putrajaya has the highest Rt at 1.07, followed by Negri Sembilan at 1.03.

The Rt in other states are 0.99 in Perlis, Kelantan (0.96), Kuala Lumpur (0.95), Terengganu (0.94), Selangor (0.92), Pahang (0.89), Melaka (0.88), Sabah and Kedah (0.87), Perak (0.84), Johor (0.83), Penang (0.82) and Sarawak (0.78).
